About

DSLiveWeather is a WiFi application on the Nintendo DS that allows you to fetch the current weather information (Weather.com) of the location you choose. It will indirectly display the current weather offered by Weather.com.

Features

  • Using configurable LocationProfiles, you can fetch the weather of any location supported by Weather.com and store up to 64 locations.
  • Automatically load and save LocationProfiles to your FAT.
  • Up to 64 LocationProfiles.
  • Configure server settings.
  • Very nice user interface and keyboard.
  • Actively developed!

Will it have x feature?

If you ask for it, perhaps it will! :) At any rate, these things are worked on:

  • Adding forecast information ASAP.
  • Graphics display of weather.
  • Music/SFX while fetching and displaying weather.

FAQ

Q) Will it do x?

A) Perhaps it will. Request it!

Q) When I run it in an emulator, the text is blurry?

A) The NDS screen works with BGR values; your computer screen uses RGB values. On the DS the letters will actually look clear!

Q) What is a DSLW Server and why not not connect to Weather.com directly?

A) It's easier for me to parse the information from Weather.com (XML) with PHP, into an much smaller format to the DS. It can be done without the server, but this was faster.

Support this project!

It would be nice if you could donate money or any homebrewing hardware for me to work with.
