Its possible to check which version of DS firmware, you are running by doing this simple test using Pictochat.

  • NoPasses work fine with any DS!
  1. Insert a DS game in NDS slot
  2. Turn on your DS.
  3. Open Pictochat and enter room A.
  4. Now remove the NDS cartridge from the NDS slot.
  5. Both screens should change to the same solid color.
  • FlashME (all versions): Dark Green
  • FW1: DS will freeze
  • FW2: Grayish Blue
  • FW3: Dark Green
  • FW4: Yellow
  • FW5: Magenta
  • FW6: Blue
  • iQue FW: Dark Green
  • DSLite FW: Purple
