CPUs and RAM

  • Two separate ARM processors - A ARM9 (ARM946E-S)[arm.com] main CPU and ARM7 (ARM7TDMI)[arm.com] coprocessor at clock speeds of 67 MHz and 33 MHz respectively.
  • 4 MB of main memory and 656 kilobytes of video memory.

2D and 3D

  • Max 128 sprites.
  • Up to four (4) background layers (text, rotating/scaling, bitmap).
  • The system's 3D engine is theoretically capable of drawing 120,000 polygons per second, with a fill-rate of 30 million pixels per second (This means 2048 polygons per frame @ 60 fps).

Screens
