NDS/Passthroughs

What is a Passthrough? Read here
[edit] PassMe or PassMe2 or NoPass
The NoPass type devices has rendered all previous PassME devices almost completely obsolete.
It works with ALL known DS firmware revisions and does not require an original cart. Small, cheap, easy to use and compatible with all types of DS and media carts.
[edit] PassME
PassMe devices are inserted into the DS slot and tricks the DS into booting unsigned DS code to run from the GBA cartridge slot in full DS mode.
PassMe was originally developed by DarkFader, Natrium42 and sgstair. When the DS starts, it begins communication with the game cart in the DS slot and after it has completed the authentication, the PassMe redirects the DS to the GBA port where homebrew code is run.
[edit] PassME2
PassME2 is an update of PassME that works with the updated DS Firmware.
While the hardware is identical, the PassME2 uses totally different code and must be pre-programmed for use with a specific DS cart as well as a matching sram.bin file stored on your Flash Cart.
NOTE! Requires SRAM and will NOT work with GBAMP! (M3/Supercard/GBA Flashcarts are fine)
[edit] NoPass
NoPass devices are inserted into the DS slot and tricks the DS into booting unsigned DS code to run from the GBA cartridge slot in full DS mode.
NoPass is the third generation of Passthrough devices. They work completely unmodified and do not require an original DS game or any kind of firmware programming to work. Compatible with any known DS released with any firmware, including DS Lite. Generally the same size as an original DS game card.
New to DS homebrew? I recommend buying a NDS/NoPass.
