[edit] Media-Based GBA-Slot carts

These carts do not have built-in storage, but instead take removable, standard memory cards, as used in digital cameras, PDAs, etc. They are usually a better choice for DS homebrew than flash-based carts, as you get much more storage space, and easy write support via Chishm's libfat. NDS/CartComparison

[edit] GBAMP

The cheapest, works with almost all DS homebrew.

[edit] Supercard

A bit more expensive, but CF version should work with ALL homebrew, and SD version should work with most. Also has the advantage of running most GBA homebrew. These cards have onboard RAM which is usable in DSLinux (upping the usable ram to 32MB).

[edit] M3

More expensive than the Supercard, has better GBA compatibility than the Supercard. DS homebrew support slightly worse.

[edit] Max Media Dock

Datel Max Media Dock.

Holds standard CF cards.

Works well with any [DLDI] compatible software. A very good inexpensive solution.

[edit] EZ Flash IV

EZ Flash IV, takes mini-SD cards, almost fits flush in a ds-phat.

EZ Flash IV Lite, takes micro-SD cards, almost fits flush in a ds-lite.

Medium homebrew compatibility, not recommended.

[edit] EWin 2

It comes in three versions: Micro-SD, sticks out a little bit from DS-Lite. Mini-SD, fits perfectly in DS-phat, and SD, sticks out a bit from DS-Phat.

Low homebrew compatibility, not recommended. Some apps work, like Moonshell, but many do not. Not supported in official libfat

[edit] Neo2 SD

The cart fits flush in a DS-Phat. It takes SD cards, but the SD cards stick out quite a bit. Originally had zero homebrew support. Recent updates give some homebrew compatibility, and support has been included in libfat DLDI. Neoflash has a bad history of support, and they are not recommended.
